Is your business growing slowly? This will help.
Okay, things are getting serious.
We are well into the year, so if your company is not growing rapidly you must take drastic action.
Here’s what I strongly suggest you do:
STEP ONE:
Evaluate what you did in your company over the last month.
Literally, write down all the major activities and projects you worked on.
Ask yourself, “What really helped me grow my business and what was basically a waste of time?”
When you do this you’ll be shocked at how few activities actually moved the needle on your company’s growth.
Usually it’s just a just a handful of things you do that make a meaningful impact on your company’s revenue.
Get clear on that handful.
STEP TWO:
I want you to pick two activities, just two, that you think helped you grow your business the most.
In years of coaching entrepreneurs, I’ve found the primary reason most of them fail to succeed is they are spending too much time doing semi-trivial tasks.
Once you have picked the two activities you do that actually grow your company, your mission is to do the following important things:
STEP THREE:
Double how much time you spend this month on those two crucial tasks.
If you normally spend six hours a week on them, spend twelve. If you usually spend three hours, spend six.
STEP FOUR:
Make your staff focus on these two super important business building tasks as well.
You’ll never grow a big company if you are doing all the important work yourself. Consider for a moment how your staff can assist you to do the Crucial Two activities more each week.
Then brief them to start doing exactly that.
STEP FIVE:
Brainstorm how to do these vital tasks better.
Don’t just spend more hours on these key tasks, think of ways that you can do them at an even higher standard.
Think about it: If you could just raise the level at which you carry out these two important activities by 20%, it would mean a whole lot more money coming into your company.
